Whereas in DS2 you can go to the forest of giants, the tower of flame OR the other woods I forget the fucking name of right at the start of the game. Oh boi in DS3 you can go to lothric castle if you beat the dancer early or just go to undead settlement! I'm not even defending DS2 but I don't understand what you're getting at implying choices are bad. Wasn't that one of the main complaints about DS3? That it is incredibly linear and removes the choices that DS1 AND DS2 provided of where to go first? It's like something from some shit-tier text adventure where you have to know a specific combination of characters to proceed, with no actual way of knowing what the right response is I would NEVER have guessed to do what you need to doġ) you have to suspect that the windmill is what puts the poison in the roomĢ) you have to know to burn the windmill, despite literally no prompts to do this in-game unless you already have a torchģ) you're not going to be walking around with a torch, because the area is well-lit, so you're never going to see any promptsĤ) you have to know that the place to burn the windmill is the fucking METAL SHAFT rather than the wooden blades of the windmill.Įven after someone told me to try burning the windmill, I was trying to use pyromancies, firebombs, and the torch to attack the windmill blades from the floor above the shaft. I try to avoid using a guide, but I eventually had to do it. And I was having a fucking hell of a time figuring out the trick to beat Mytha. I did stop subbing to him briefly when he was tantruming about not doing the second DLC to DS3 and was proclaiming that Souls was done for him but when he returned to Souls he won me over again. Not just as a "thanks for the sub, welcome to the shitmunchers" kind of phony bullshit but he genuinely cares for his viewers and that's why I keep subbing to him as well as some other external factors related to him but let's not talk about that.
His DS1 and Demon's Souls streams are really comfy and he's the kind of guy that actually cares for his fans. I like Dark Souls 3 and he hates it and while listening to hours of his salty rants about it isn't always the most entertaining thing, I prefer his honesty to putting up an act and pretending to enjoy something he doesn't.
